Vineyard’ (has two meanings in Turkish: vineyard and relation) documentary project is about a vineyard which is stuck between apartment blocks existing in city of Izmir. As little houses and the natural life around them is being destroyed on capitalist purposes such as building apartment blocks, this vineyard is having it’s last summer in the nature. The owner Mr. Mümin resisted for years to protect the place and his animals from contractors. The other vineyards around became apartment blocks gradually and some are being destroyed recently. In about six months, the natural life will be destroyed, trees will be cut, animals will disappear. Construction will start. In two years, the nature will be turned into concretes as it happened in all places called cities. The project is to document the life in the vineyard and it’s end (finished blocks in the vineyard area). It is to remember the nature destroyed by human beings under our cities.
